    Still Alice.

    A magnificent film.
It is restrained and subtle in the last quarter and is all the more heartbreaking for that.

I will be watching the Oscar judgements with interest.

On TV last night... still absolutely mind-blowing.

I watched The Babadook last night on this very forum's recommendation. Did nowt for me. Twas ok tho, the Mrs Sky account paid for it. That'll teach her for fucking off. I think.

  • I've seen Taken 3 yesterday and oh my goodness... ;)
I knew what to (or not to) expect so I just relaxed and tried to enjoy it. Luc Besson with his cocaine-infused like shots and Mr Neeson v Russian mob. I've managed to watch the whole thing, but it's not going to make my top10 I'm afraid.
We're going to watch 'Theory of everything " tomorrow, looking forward to that.

Finally got around to watching 'Once'. Quite enjoyable in a Downtown-Abbeyesque nothing-much-actually-happens kind of way. Also, ends just as it's getting interesting. Will there be a sequel called 'Twice' I wonder?
I play guitar because I enjoy it rather than because I’m any good at it

    Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues

I'm not a big fan of the Will Ferrell, Judd Apatow school of comedy but there's something about Ron Burgundy and his team which just works for me.  I thought this one took a while to get going (and I was getting worried) but it ultimately descends into such nonsensical lunacy that I loved it.

    Pretty good sub:Jason Bourne fare.

And Kiera Knightly does a more than passable US accent.

Surely in this day and age there is no need for either?

Just set your phone up on a tripod in front of the tv and record it as a video.

    :)
