Agree about the ambiguity in being able to enforce it though.

Yeah that's how I'd like to think that I do it, but sometimes you (not aimed at you) might think you're not being a dick to someone but someone could take offence (sometimes on the behalf of someone else).

Some of what he posts, from what I've seen comes across as a bit angry.
I think that's seems a completely fair point and I think we all know the answer. Ultimately I suppose in an social circle people become 'characters' and are probably able to take more liberties (so to speak). Also familiarity breeds a comfort zone You could look at it the other way that plenty of people get the piss taken out of them by other for habitual behaviour which again wouldn't necessarily be addressed at new member. As with real life it's all contextual.
Wisdom. And fwiw I fucking hate people who do that

Anyone who's met Drew knows he's well meaning but irreverent, other people may be the same or have friends the same, so fall into step and get on, but if you've lived in a stately home or up your own are hole most of yourlife you're likely to have a time seeing there's no malice in anything he says, he's moved on a second later, if your still clinging to the sense of impropriety it's not what he intended.
I think he'll like that!!!!
Bless 'im. He's no bother.
I agree Frank, that's 50% of the problem that I observe too. It's strange though as a lot of times I suspect that those who are desperate for unremitting reverence online are probably those who see little of it in the real world. In that sense that have already brought and axe to grind before even logging on.
Works a treat because it changes my view of the problems outside.
Sure, he can be controversial and some may not like his posting style sometimes but this is the inferwebs and we do have the ignore feature for those who choose to take offence (not something I ever use personally as I believe in free speech).
Whatever the reason for the current ban (let's face it, a temporary ban is still a ban), I look forward to his return.
