Seriously though, I don't like it when people fight. I don't see why anybody needs to have beef on here. And Mr _fx makes me sad when I feel he goes too far. 

But we're here at this forum because of a passion we all have in common. Why do some of us have to be consumed by the differences we have with others?

I don't want to get involved in the politics of it all as I genuinely can't be arsed.
However, what I do think is for all the fighting that's going on, if you were to come across a member you were having regular spats with in real life and they were in a bit of a scrape, would you help them? Damn straight you would.
If you saw them getting hurt in some way. Would you intervene? Of course you would.
It's not gentlemanly or sporting. So how about you stop hurting each other on here?

We sink threads for a number of reasons - when they go vastly off-topic, turn into a slanging match, or simply have no further use or reason to be at the top of the Recent Discussions list. We don't ever sink threads so specific individuals can't see them; that would be both pointless and childish. He's already read this whole thread anyway.

He has no reason to create a new username - he'll be back in a week or so anyway, because he hasn't been banned. And multiple user accounts are against the rules anyway, and can lead to a full-on ban.

I love this idea of a thing that happens which isn't banning but resembles banning and doesn't have a name or a description to differentiate it from banning - I guess the war on terror has influenced society .
