    The Princeton Reverb sounds great.
Of course it does, and if that’s all you need that’s all good, but comparing it to a helix is all a bit silly
    Not sure if serious...

  • The Princeton Reverb sounds great.
Cannot wait to try the Princeton... did you have to do much fiddling in settings to make it sound great?
    No. Pretty straight forward.
    Yesssssss!!!

  • What an absolutely epic update!

My Helix is currently out away while we are decorating :(
Mine is in the lockup on my board :( Looks like I'll have to update Native and have a play.

I updated from 2.82, 3.0 boots way faster on my Rack. It's also distressing how much the splash of colour on the boot screen has impressed me  =)

The big Helix group on Facebook is amazing at the moment.

People complaining about DSP limits. Complaining about "That's what you people were excited for???" and above all (as @Digital_Igloo has said in the past) Americans not reading the instructions about the update process!

Does that mean its still a buggy bag of spanners (again)??

    *fingers crossed* it’s all good this time @meltedbuzzbox ;

Lots of cool stuff that I’m looking forward to trying out, but will probably hold fire for a while...& then do Helix Native first. If there’s any issues, that means I can still use my Helix LT.

Caveat : I run my Princeton clean. But i did briefly crank the gain and it sounded good.

Edited my post above.  I thought it was one of the silly digs at modelling 'a Princeton is all I need' post rather than a reference to the new model - silly me!

  • This is great.  Very easy download.

First thing I looked for is a Pog type of effect, but I'm not sure that is achievable, i.e. octave up, octave down and dry, to get those organ effects.  Anybody had any luck?

Haven't tried, but sure you could with 2 poly capos on a split path.  The pitch effects seem pretty DSP hungry though so you mightn't get much more in the patch

  • And again, our friends from across the pond are the only ones who actually read the Release Notes and install instructions. Cheers, all!

  • So impressed with the new update. The Swedish Chainsaw is a new favourite! Sounds absolutely killer into the new Princeton.

Try the Dual Pitch. Interval 1 +12, Interval 2 -12, and mix at 50%

Works for me, but only playing triad chords really. Anything else sends the tracking a bit mental
