I've read that about the open E tuning, but I don't think it is entirely correct, going by my own ears, and what others have written too. The track Food For Thought was particularly interesting. The actual chords of the song’s backing progression are:

A minor, E major, G major, D major.

But if you went to see UB40 back in the heyday of that song you’d have witnessed rhythm guitarist Ali Campbell playing something that looked like:

A major, C# minor, G major, D minor shape – probably with the B string damped out.

I suspect there is some truth to the open tuning story during the infancy of the group, but I think by the time the LP was recorded, a conventional tuning was being employed (pun intended).

They say it on the Classic Albums signing off episode but they do quite like their band myths. I'll have a look at that link, sounds interesting.

It's their 4th album, and I was brought up with country music, so I like anything Appalachian Mountain-ish. To answer your question, her latest album is my favourite one, but the other ones might be growers depending on your mood. The previous album had a lot more production, so it's not as chilled.

There is a video of the band doing this but the audio isn’t great.

I think that’s Dave Evans the original singer in AC/DC, I seem to remember that he wanted AC/DC to be more glam.

Yes excellent band and nice guys.
It was nice of them to start releasing there live jams series of downloads for free on Bandcamp during the covid lockdowns.
Brilliant music .
Im really liking the new album.

The credits show perhaps the odd nature of the album. Martin Birch has seven production credits despite being dead. So much of the album has been gathering dust for a while.

Four cowrites with Steve Harris, one with Adrian Smith. A strangely weak version of Eternity Has Failed (Maiden version is better).
No Roy Z cowrites.

A real shame. Bruce's solo material with Roy Z had been great, songwriting and production.

Roy Z has writing credits on most of the song, I can see no mention of Steve in the credits on the album and certainly nothing mentiong the headmaster on the production credits/

Also the guitar tones are fine. Certainly better than most modern metal albums.
