We watched "Into the Woods" on Sunday night with our 9 year old son. I suspected that it was going to be crap, even before it turned out to be a musical! To be fair, my son quite liked it but that is 2+ hours of my life that I'll never get back. A bizarre compilation of fairy tales set to music. AVOID! :(|)

Interstellar. I'll never trust Rotten Tomatoes (72%) or IMDb (8.7/10) again. Absolute shite, I'll consult this thread in future.
A lot of people on here liked it and gave it a decent review, including me, so you would have got the same answer as Rotten Tomatoes. ;)

I'll stick with the review by @goldtop on page 42
      ;)

Actually, I would say it's not quite that bad, but too many holes in the storyline, bad physics and a ridiculous ending.  I like a good Sci fi but was disappointed by this in the same way I thought Prometheus was a let down.  I've not really seen a good sci fo movie simce District 9 and Moon.

Grand Budapest Hotel. Very surreal. After 5 minutes I'd decided it was going to be unwatchable. 10 minutes later I was hooked. Lots of very good acting but Ralph Fiennes is brilliant.
That was my exact experience with it too, it sucked then it was suddenly great :D

And that was my experience of this film too, first they're singing ok, hang on we're 15minutes in and they're still singing, 20minutes in and they're just repeating "into the woods to the festival", quick Google ok this is going on for the whole film, turn it off

    Chappie 7.5/10

Pretty funny with some nice effects, but as with Neill Blomkamp's other works (District9/ Elysium) only watch if you can stand hearing a South African accent for a prolonged time!

Darby O'Gill and the Little People, it's an old Disney movie from the late 50's, I think 59, it has Sean Connery in it and it's a musical which my girlfriend just loves, it was a decent enough film I guess, I'm not a huge musical fan, nor do I hate them, but I would call it 'wholesome family entertainment'

    Warm Bodies.

I guess it's a teen romance, sort of zombie Twilight. However, more enjoyable than that sounds with some nice comic touches.

The book is far better for that stuff.

Just watched Synecdoche, New York http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0383028/ which I recorded a while back.

Brilliantly bizarre. Funny, thought provoking, and very moving.

It's definitely better to watch the film first, then read the book.

I like the bit with Tom Bombadil.

Kingsman secret service - quite possibly the most enjoyable film I've ever seen in my life. It's not clever but so entertaining, funny, full of action. It's worth watching just for the scene in the church.

    I'm giving it a 10 out of 10.
