    Just digging in.

Seun Kuti bringing energy, but Def notice the absence of keys and guitar#2 in the lineup.

Hoping for Snarky Puppy's set to be online. Also Richard Thompson
@Greatape Richard Thompson cancelled due to sickness.
    Ah, balls

To the people bemoaning the lineup - not entirely unjustified - I'd say that this deficiency is replicated in other festivals. I mean, 15-20 years ago, WOMAD was the bollocks. Nowadays, it's mostly bollocks. I don't know whether that's just reflective of the general trend in music, or safer programming.
And too many festivals?  There seem to be dozens of them.

Never heard of Khruangbin before, I thought they were great for chilled out pre-rave. The guitar guy's a virtuoso, drenched in echo or not, but very samey after a while. Someone above said her bass playing was out of time - for out of time stuff a bored looking St Etienne demonstrated that more than once.
Enjoyed TLC and Plant's still got it!
I thought I'd be able to catch up on St Vincent today, damn.

Wet Leg looked liked they'd only just started playing guitar a few days ago!
(did anyone see the white sticker labels on the side of the singer's fretboard?

Real buzz about them though - and somebody's got a talent for songwriting there... (kinda Elastica meets Wicker Man vibe going on there as well).

And let's be honest - Dry Cleaning is a crap name for a band.
    ...she's got Dickie Davies eyes...

With an extra guitarist, Rhian doesn't really need to be playing at all - I think she is probably happier behind a guitar on stage, I have to admit I would be as well.

Sliding one power chord shape around to add a bit of rhythm guitar would be a personal favourite technique of mine!

You are the dreamer, and the dream...

    St. Vincent still not online....

Thought Wolf Alice were great - especially considering their travel problems to get there. I think they just made it straight to the stage.

Enjoyed Plant much more than expected. JS McPherson on guitar I think. Also Viktor Krauss? PLus, unexpectedly, a Calexico tune

Exactly what I thought - at first was in heaven to be hearing Durutti Column meets Tinariwen meets The Kills. But after a while it got a wee bit too circular. Didn’t think the covers helped either (made me think of those brill solo guitarists in tube stations).

I might give their recent LP a go though.

As for Dry Cleaning - I gave them a listen a few months ago, but didn’t get it at all. Having seen the (TV) live performance - wow, I get it now. A bit arty, but I can ignore that and just zone into the amazing hypnotic guitar and vocal drone - tres clever.

Whilst very different, thought they were miles more interesting than Idles, who just bore the pants off me.

Strangely I also enjoyed Joy Crookes…and Arlo Parks.

Disappointed with Wet Leg. I love what they do and the LP, but thought they seemed a little lost or overawed ? And yes, Supergrass - wonderful (again). Thanks for info on Gaz’s Gibson - seems the consensus is it is a 335.

Might need to give the current Epiphone (or 339) a try (unless they are deemed to be awful ??).

I could watch Laura Leezy from Khurangbin all day, but that music wears you down after a few numbers...

Edit: now they've added vox and acoustic guitar. That's an improvement.

Self Esteem from Sheffield. Ridiculous outfit, decent enough tunes.

St Vincent is up on iPlayer. There is a separate tab for guitar. Yves tumor is worth a watch, there is plenty of guitar

Me too. Voices and harmonies that transcend musical taste. I even forgave them for the cover of that shitty 80s song.
