I know Guiggsys sister through dog rescues but have never asked her about Paul, he's living quietly in London with wife n kids. It always felt gauche to ask her about him.

I seen a young girl with a nirvana t-shirt on the other day and I kinda double taked. Just not very common these days.
    They sell them in H&M
Was going to say - Nirvana t-shirts are everywhere.

Kurt would have hated it - but Nirvana have become the "brand" behind a certain sort of style, think Avril Lavigne in 2002.

It's also possible the kid in question, to be fair, has looked back to the early 90s on Spotify and correctly identified one of the finest rock albums ever made, and one of the best "mis-rock" follow ups as well...

I'm sure there could be any number of reasons why she was wearing it.
I assumed she was a fan. I'm a big fan of Nirvana myself.

The rest of her clothes were a bit more goth like iirc. Not very grunge.
This probably isn't the most fashionable part of the world tbf.

Can't say I've ever been in an "h&m".

    Never mind...
    In Utero...

oh wait, that doesn't work does it...
    Works as a concept...

It's a communal singalong to the music of their youth along with their pals, kids and 1000s of others surrounding them. A few beers (and other chemicals), Liam and Noel belting out urban hymns above the deafening din.. In a way the distant dynamic duo on the video screens are merely ringmasters.

I'm pretty sure they'll be doing Morning Glory, but if the Verve want to support I'm 1000% in :)
A reformed Oasis supported by a reformed The Verve??? It would break the planet...

Maybe Liam can hire at least two people for tea this tour? ;)

I love Liam. His comedic timing is so on point.

Yeah it's the look he gives to camera after "for nish..." isn't it?

Yup. Honestly both brothers are hilarious. There's a reason why Noel's interview is the most viewed video on That Pedal Show's channel.

Fair play to them, but (in my opinion) Liam's voice is shot ... it's got better recently compared to a few years ago, but he's got that really nasally honk that just grates and is painful to listen to.  Noel's voice has fared much better as time has gone by.

I’m really surprised. After all the trash-talking between the brothers, and Noel’s insistence that he wasn’t interested…
On the one hand, it seems a bit naff to me. Who is even in the band, for a start? Liam and Noel, obviously, but who else? And does Noel really want to be there? Will he be phoning it in?

On the other hand, celebrating 30 years of a landmark album, songs that will have entire stadiums singing along…These gigs are going to be events that people attending will remember forever.

“The guns have fallen silent” seems a tactless phrase to use given the state of world events.

I can honestly say I've never listened to an Oasis album.
Glad that those who like the band will get to see them again but I just never got it.

Liam was unnecessarily rude to my wife in a pub in Highgate a few years ago.
I did watch the TPS thing with Noel and he came across as less of a knob than I was expecting.

I’m not sure what an Oasis tour can offer that you couldn’t get from Liam’s recent tour of Definitely Maybe, except Noel Gallagher singing a few songs. Is that worth the gazillion quid* a ticket will cost?

*just a guess, at this stage

I was a bit old to be a fan (I was 30 when Definitely Maybe was released) but there’s no escaping they are a ‘properly’ important band. I have to say I felt quite emotional when I saw the announcement on the news this mornng.

Hopefully this will be great news for the guitar industry.

Liam really needs some coaching with his singing. He was back to just lobbing words into the microphone at Reading a couple of days ago. It really is crap.
