Diana Ross’s voice is dire, which considering her age is no surprise. I saw her in London about 30 years ago she sang three songs and stormed off the stage cursing the band and sound guy. She didn’t come back out either.

For my 17 year old daughter who is a singer and plays bass, guitar and piano I’m pleased to see so many girls playing instruments as well as singing. 

A lot of the acts seem to be young girls too. Encouraging stuff.

Local lass (to me) Jane Weaver is on at some point, don't know if it will get on the telly though, she and her band are cracking, fantastic Krauty drummer.

She’s got two years on Macca. His voice might be a bit thready but at least he can still sing in key, Diana Ross couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket right now. It also looks like it took all her energy just to stand upright. The deathly silence when she tried to get the crowd to join in with Little Girl or whatever it’s called was just plain embarrassing. What a dreadful set, I wonder how much she’s been paid for that shambles?

Elbow are one of the bands like Embrace whose music I find utterly boring, but at a festival amongst a crowd they can be rarely beaten

The Puppy set was part of the West Holt stream on iPlayer earlier. That’s gone off now so presumably it’s going to be back on as individual sets at some point.
